True love

I sat down in the midst of nowhere,
I was lost in the cruelty of the world,
I watched all what I suffered for crumble in front on my very own eyes,
I was gravely hurt.

He said he loved me,
He promised he will never do anything to hurt me,
He pleaded deeply for me to never leave,
He ached for me.

We were together when we were both nothing,
We wanted to be together in everything,
We always believed we shared something,
We always both ached for one thing.

And on a cold morning,
He said we could not be together,
I saw the pain in his eyes,
How deeply he was hurting.

I wanted to fight it,
I wanted us to be together for ever,
I wanted us to always be happy,
I wanted us to never give up.

But the evil circumstances surrounding us
Could not permit us,
